4 Introduction Genre can be described as a category of an artistic, literal, or musical composition categorized by a particular form or style. Genres are not only essential in passing information, they also provide the reader or the writer with the ability to arrange the context of what he can say and when to say it, thus creating engaging moments between him and the audience. Despite genres being essential n communication, they have several challenges if the audience is not familiar with the genre; they are likely to misinterpret it, making it a barrier to communication. This paper will focus on three genre samples: Rhetorical, musical, and narrative. Rhetorical genres. Rhetorical genre is essential in communication as it seeks to explain how the writers and the speakers with specific situations attempt to influence other people through discourse, including written and unwritten languages, gestures, and images to express the image he might be trying to express. The rhetorical genre requires the audience to be unaware of the method of communication as it might use challenging explanation methods, making the client misunderstand the scenario. (Thompson, 2018) The main challenge is that whenever the audience is presented with a complex rhetorical device, it tends to evaluate it by its understanding which is likely to lead to different meanings, and they might lead to lead to more complications when the audience understands the conversation. The author must keep the rhetorical genre simple and clear for the audience to understand the message. Musical genre Music genre is essential in communication as it allows the audience to increase their comprehension of the art form and also it allows the audience to appreciate quality. This genre is mainly stored as electronic means of communication, and the audience can access it at any time, making it capable of spreading aster compared to other genres. (Wiley, 2019) Despite the genre being appropriate in passing information, different audiences have different tastes and are likely to criticize other genres if they do not fully understand them. Furthermore, this genre becomes appropriate as it triggers bad memories, which can make them make bad decisions. It would be much better if universal standards were introduced in this genre to prevent criticism, bad memories, and noise pollution and stop people from making bad decisions. Narrative genre Narrative genre is essential as it provides an author with a therapeutic outlet that allows him to relieve an event and develop clarity about it. The narrative genre allows the author to use other devices, such as gestures and emotions, to entice the audience to participate in the conversation actively. This genre is essential as it allows the audience to reconnect communication, thus developing a positive dialogue. (Schrader, 2019) Despite the narrative genre being good in communication, it gives the audience a limited viewpoint as the presenter is portrayed with a limitation in social and people’s lives. Furthermore, the audience or the reader cannot see the action from the author’s viewpoint; thus, the audience might not know all the events that happen, and they are likely to miss out on various points from different angles. 2 The use of literary devices in the writing is a common similarity shared between the different genres of literature. For instance, playwrights can effectively use a literary device such as a simile in poetry, a short story as well as in drama. To enhance symbolism and imagery in these literary texts, the use of these devices becomes inevitable in each one of them. This can reach the members of the sorority and any spectators, this keeps them involved and interested in retaining the information being presented. Use pop and R&B music genres to pass on the information essential to educating other community members. Use memes to create and distribute memes to describe particular situations and their outcomes, allowing community members to be kept of their activities. Use motivational posts to encourage one another to keep improving, thus contributing positively to the institution. This is to reach the member of the sorority directly and keep them pushing in their daily life activities and to make sure everyone is doing ok mentally Use email to pass crucial information from one community member to another, allowing them to set the policies they will use to develop the community. This could also be used to do reach outs to different organizations for various reasons but its mostly professional back and forth . Use brochures to create awareness of the activities taking place and the schedule of the activities, keeping everyone informed. Brochures is apart of the outreach to individuals who are not apart of the community who are considering to be apart of it or just trying be more informed on what is going on . This can reach a variety of people older younger whom ever is interested in the organization. ‘

The main similarity between the genres is that they were used to simplify the message and persuade the audience to listen, thus allowing him to follow the message conveyed in the genre. The genres used superficial things to simplify the message making it convenient to the audience. The difference between genres is that some genres, such as rhetorical and music genres, were more persuasive to the audience than narrative, which the community members considered storytelling. (Todorov, 2019) How the community reacts, receive and respond to proposed genres? The genres target all community members by suggesting what they can do to improve it. The community reacts to the proposed genres differently depending on their persuasiveness, which makes them adhere more and focus on the most persuasive genres. After listening to the information to the genre, they can implement the strategies stated thus allowing them to follow the norms of the community thus developing it. With different understanding capabilities in the community, different people have different understanding capabilities, making them implement different strategies based on their understanding. Conventions addressed by the genre addresses The rhetorical genre addresses two conventions: persuasiveness and expository, to portray the context’s theme, thus persuading the audience to understand. The narration genre addresses three conventions, setting, theme and character, to allow the audience to relate to the scenario’s occurrence. The music genre holds convention by using lyrics and images, allowing the audience to imagine a scenario, thus improving their understanding of the activities taking place in the community. Based on the genres I have chosen, there is no genre that seeks to push back genre conventions.
