Your task is to create a 1-week strength training and cardiovascular conditioning program to address the fitness needs of an athlete in this sport along with a nutrition plan (3 pieces). In this program, you are to address the following components: For the Strength Training part of the program: Which strength training exercises will this athlete perform each workout for the week? How many days will the athlete perform each exercise during the 1-week period of time? How many repetitions will this athlete perform of each exercise chosen? How many sets of each exercise will the athlete perform in each workout? What length of rest will the athlete have between each set and between each exercise performed in the exercise session? How heavy will the weights be (ie, what percentage of maximum effort will the athlete perform each exercise at)? Percentages of maximum effort will typically range between 40%–100% to be most effective. Present your 1-week strength training program in a table so that each required component of the program is clearly displayed.  Below your program, present a brief rationale for your program design decisions. This meal plan should include foods that address energy needs as well as optimize vitamin and mineral intake to support performance goals for the day.
