Currently, health problems among middle-aged adults have become a common issue. Some of the causes of these problems include poor diet, unhealthy lifestyle, and lack of exercises. Regular exercise is an important strategy that can help in managing and reducing the risk of diseases like diabetes and heart diseases (Ardies, 2014). Regular exercises help in improving heart health and prevent heart disease by lowering the blood pressure, minimizing the cholesterol level and maintaining a healthy weight. Research has found that people with heart disease often endure interval exercises since they know its significance in heart health benefits. Moreover, regular physical exercise is also important for managing or preventing type 2 diabetes usually caused by obesity (Ardies, 2014). Physical activities can help in maintaining a regular blood-glucose level as well as managing the body weight.

Heart diseases have become a common health problem in society today. In the U.S about 650,000 people die annually as a cause of heart diseases. Men are the most affected compared to women with more than half of this number dying every year. Coronary heart disease is the most common disease which kills approximately 400,000 people every year in the U.S (Wierzba et al., 2018). On the other hand, diabetes is also very common among the adult aged 18 years and above in the U.S. According to a CDC report, more than 100 million adults have diabeteswhere deaths caused by diabetes are approximately 1.8 million every year (Wierzba et al., 2018). The prevalence of diabetes has been increasing very fast in countries with middle and low-income.

To help reduce the risk of heart diseases and diabetes, walking, running and yoga are the most convenient, easy and effective ways of exercising. At least 30 minutes a day for five day a week is important. These exercises help in lowering the blood sugar level, maintaining a healthy weight, and reduce stress and anxiety. As a nurse, one should include a program that is a must attend for patients to ensure full cooperation from clients. One should set appropriate time where every client is available for exercises and find someone professional to conduct physical activities.
