Based on what you have read, viewed, and listened to this week, discuss two socio-political topics from the 20th century that these artists were responding to. Quote at least one piece of literature and directly refer to one of the works of art. As in all of your writing for this course, remember to be original in your writing. Do not simply retell information you learned from this week’s sources.
2.Reflection Assignment:
Based on what you have read, watched, and listened to this week, respond to the following prompts. Each prompt should be addressed in a well-developed paragraph of at least 150-200 words).
- Discuss the terms absurdism, realism, and one additional literary term from this week’s list, showing how they relate to the works of literature and art from this week. Your response should include quotes from or references to at least two of the works from this week. As in all of your writing for this course, remember to be original in your writing. Do not simply retell information you learned from this week’s sources.
- Reflect on all of the works of literature, art, music, and psychology presented in Weeks 1 and 2 of this course. What connections do you see between these works? What common themes do you notice? Your response should include quotes from or references to at least TWO works of literature (ONE must be from this week) and TWO other works (ONE must be from this week). As in all of your writing for this course, remember to be original in your writing. Do not simply retell information you learned from this week’s sources.
