There are many key differences and similarities when it comes to discussing the divine law in Islam and the divine law in Judaism. The divine law of Islam is also called the Sharia. It is based on Allah’s laws and rules. This system was developed by scholars. Sharia shapes all aspects of the Muslim’s life including crime, politics and family life. In the divine law in Islam, they use the Qur’an as a basis of study. The divine law of Judaism is also known as the Halakhah. It is of the Jewish religious laws. There are many texts that his religion uses such as the Torah as a basis of study. They also use the Shulchan Aruch which is the code of the Jewish law.

Similarities include that both divine laws shape the way people who study them daily. It influences their every day lives. They both use text material as a basis of study and to base their faith on. Both religions influence their civil and religious laws as an individual.

Differences include the sources of authority. They both believe in one God except that Judaism believes in the prophets and the rabbis. Islam believes in governed prayers and Judaism is beliefs in prayers.
